Corrected the name of the 2023 holiday regulations
The About page and the calculators' results cited the 12.07% rules as the 2024 regulations; they are the Employment Rights (Amendment, Revocation and Transitional Provision) Regulations 2023, which apply to leave years from 1 April 2024. The privacy policy's date now reflects the contact form's spam check.

Irregular hours guide merged into the calculator
The irregular hours guide and the calculator covered the same ground, so the guide's worked example, with its dated leave years, now sits with the 12.07% calculator. The old guide address takes you to the calculator page.
New page: UK bank holidays 2027
All 2027 bank holiday dates by nation, the 27–28 December Christmas substitute days, the early Easter and 2027 leave planning, on one page.

Next bank holiday page merged into bank holidays
The separate ‘next bank holiday’ page is now part of the bank holidays page, which shows how many days until the next one in each nation.

Termination calculator now uses your leave year
It now asks when your leave year starts and works out holiday owed for that leave year only, counting leap years. Before, anyone employed for more than a year could be shown a figure several times too high. If you've taken more holiday than you've built up, it shows the overpayment instead of £0.
Shift worker calculator asks for your shift length
Remaining holiday is now converted into your own shifts, not generic 7.5-hour days, which is the mistake the page itself warns against.
Guides checked against current law
The irregular hours guide now covers the rules for leave years from 1 April 2024. The NHS redundancy guide gives the new 6-month tribunal time limit from 1 October 2026. Carry-over rules now read the same on every page, and the new duty on employers to keep holiday records is explained.

Bank holiday dates built from official data
The bank holiday tables and leave-planning tips are now generated from GOV.UK's dates, so they can't go out of date. This removed a wrong "Mother's Day" row and added Northern Ireland's St Patrick's Day and Scotland's 15 June 2026 holiday.

Quicker first step on the calculators
The first question now shows on screen on phones, the homepage says when step 1 is already filled in, and the maternity calculator lost an unused step.

Fixed entitlement step blocking and added review dates
Fixed a bug that could block users on the entitlement step. Added author and review date to every page for transparency.
Improved keyboard accessibility and print layout
Let keyboard users reach the calculator before the sidebar. Improved print layout to show only results from calculator pages. Tightened phone hero on homepage.
Redesigned results screen and tools page
Redesigned the results screen with a real breakdown table, facts list, and readable chart axis. Made tools page cards single links with one accent colour. Used sentence case for headings and buttons across the site. Put calculator first on specialist pages.
Fixed calculation errors and improved part-time entitlement
Corrected termination calculator underpayment by a day, fixed holiday rounding rule, and stopped overstating part-time entitlement. Pro-rated NHS entitlement for part-time staff. Made bank holiday counts exact by asking leave year first. Fixed date format reading in overlap checker.

Fixed NHS calculator and mobile tables
Corrected NHS public holiday allowance and data range warnings. Fixed dead dark mode toggle on NHS calculator. Stopped tables forcing horizontal scroll on mobile. Added skip links and prevented Enter key from hijacking the wizard. Calculators now remember your step.

Rewrote major guides and calculators
Rewrote the termination calculator as a final-payslip guide, the bank holiday page to explain there's no legal right to bank holidays off, the shift worker page as a comparison of counting methods, and the NHS page as a four-nation reference. Split NHS Wales from England and fixed Scotland's staged hours.

Corrected NHS Scotland facts and rewrote three calculator pages
Corrected facts for NHS staff in Scotland, rewrote the maternity, pro-rata and irregular hours calculator pages with accurate legal references, and folded a very short page into the bank holidays page.

Fixed mobile navigation and heading structure
Fixed duplicate H1 tags on calculator pages for better accessibility. Improved mobile navigation with increased height and fixed dropdown behavior. Corrected NHS redundancy call-to-action link.
